1. What to do when stopping the car

Step 1: Stop the car. Step 6: If the vehicle simply lacks cooling water and refills it, you can go on, but if the car is dry, the cool water is empty for unknown cause, it’s best to call for rescue.

2. How to handle when forced to continue driving

Step 1: Turn off harmonic. Air-conditioning system works, causing the engine to overload, leading to rapid heat.

Step 2: Switch to hot mode. Turn heating on fully, turn on the fan to maximum. If it is hot, turn the vents out to the windows, and lower the glass so that the hot air can escape. Because this system uses engine heat to heat the air in the car, the more it escapes, the faster the engine cools.

Step 3: Doesn’t move much. Once in a hot engine state, do not move for as long as a normal vehicle. Instead, the frequency of resting will be more.

Step 4: Turn off the engine but do not turn off the power. Turning the key to turn off the engine but not turning off the electrical system completely, so that the heater continues to work, will release hot air from the engine faster.

Step 5: Go at a moderate speed. Don’t go fast, stop, fast, stop, but go slowly at a moderate speed. Acceleration increases the load, making the engine hotter faster.

Step 6: Use tips.

  • If your vehicle uses a belt-driven radiator fan (usually rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive), take the following method after stopping at a red light. Push the gear lever to N or P (automatic transmission), lightly depress the gas pedal to go up to about 2,000 rpm, keep the accelerator at that threshold for about a minute. This way the fan rotates faster, releasing less hot air.

  • But for cars with electronic radiator fans (usually front-wheel drive vehicles), this approach doesn’t work.

Step 7: If possible, wait for the road to clear up. The car is hot and moving into the crowded road only makes things worse because the travel time is longer and the cool breeze cannot be used. So, if possible, pull over and wait until the traffic stops.
